Hello again!!
It has been awhile since I was able to get in here and post again. Wow time goes by..
Anyway, I know I was going to post about some memories but that is coming later. I wanted to just talk about what's been going on this week. The good, the bad and the really ugly..
It has been a ride! We moved! The house we are in is so beautiful! We are finally owners! It took a long time but we are finally here.
It was a really difficult move to do. We had so much with 6 people! We did a lot of ridding and got a lot of stuff thrown out or given away which was a great thing. But we still had SO MUCH left!! We rented a 26 foot truck and it took 3 times of loading it full to move everything out. I wish we could've had a bigger truck but no one here has a CDL! We did have movers come one day but they were AWFUL! They must've damaged one hundred things it was so bad. And their attitude was horrifying! They were rude and acted like jerks. I made them leave after 1 hour. I was so mad I stomped my foot and yelled GET OUT! at them. So we got several members of Mike's family to help. And THANK GOD for them because we never could've done it without them!
It took us 3 days to move everything in the house and some into the storage shed. The biggest job was moving all the fish tanks and the cats! WOW!
We lost the salt water fish but saved the rest. It was really hard. Tommy and Susan busted their asses (literally!) getting all the fish out and hauling them into the house. Mike and I helped with moving the tanks in but they did the biggest part. Tommy has a bad foot and it was killing him afterwards.
Now we are in the house but it is really slow going getting everything out of boxes, hooked up, cleaned up, straightened up, and things are just not going the way I was hoping. I never moved with so much stuff. It is getting ridiculous with everyone else not wanting to part with anything. There is so much that is completely worn out and needs to be thrown away. I think I have finally convinced them to put it in the storage shed (so it can at least be out of the house!) and we can have a yard sale or something. I hope I have.It also doesn't help having and 11 year old who is attached to every silly toy that is broken and/or too young for her now. She doesn't want to clean up after herself but we make her do it. She is an 11 year old teenager..UGH.
I busted MY ass getting the kitchen and bathroom in order and Mike and I are working on the bedroom. Tina, Mike and Tommy's cousin, came over today and is helping get things in order. She is a tough one so hopefully she can talk sense into everyone! The plumber called and can't come on Wednesday to move the water heater, put in the disposal and make a new dryer vent because he has the flu. He is supposed to come on Saturday now. Looks like I am taking everything to the laundromat again this week. FUN. I know things are going to get better..I am just on here venting as well as informing so I can get it all out. I will be happy when it's done. Ohh my GOD will I be glad!! OK back to it.
Love u all,
S.
Hey everyone,
I am in Illinois as I am writing this and it has been a memorable trip. All good.
I have been thinking so much about my life here and when I lived at home with my parents. It is amazing what I remember so vividly and how it also seems like 100 years ago at the same time. I lived it this house for so many years...I remember the holiday gatherings and the everyday things. Getting ready for school, going out with my friends, riding my bike from morning til night. Skinned knees, arguments with best friends that seemed to be the end of the world, Babysitters, pizza night, Long phone cords so you could stretch them down the hall into your room and your parents couldn't hear your conversation..lol! Birthdays, presents, wishing you were older..yep older. Scary movies that you had bad dreams about or couldn't go to sleep after cos you were so scared. Slumber parties and ghost stories, truth or dare games, (saying Bloody Mary 3 times standing in front of the bathroom mirror in the dark with the door closed...haha!) Neighbors who you loved and ones who were mean, swimming in flood water on the street, climbing trees that you knew were too high and your parents getting upset when you couldn't get down, the excuses you really thought were intelligent like: She/He started it!, Everyone's doing it!, I don't know how it got broken! It just came down!, My friends told me to do it or they would beat me up!, Running to tell your mom/dad that your brother or sister hit you before they could, I swear I didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident!, It was like that when I got here!..etc.. I am going to write about some experiences on here when I post again..I remember some really great ones... Right now I am just lost in thought...

with the landlord I suppose. Just needed to get this off my chest somewhere. I hope I can find a better job soon. It really sucks out there right now.
